We now have community acupuncture two days/ week! Tuesdays (2-6 p.m.) and Thursdays (4 p.m. – 8 p.m.). These hours will resume after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Bach Flower Remedies
Dr. Edward Bach, an English Doctor in the 1920’s-1930’s, observed the link between emotional imbalance and illness. From this observation he developed a system of 38 flower essence remedies and made them available for any household. Rescue Remedy is the most well known combination of these remedies.
A mix of remedies is chosen and most often ingested orally via a tincture, creating an inner harmony and emotional balance that supports our wellbeing. Each session consists of a one-to-one conversation as to understand the emotional needs of the client at the particular time and the creation of a tincture specific to that client.
These remedies are forms of vibrational medicine, and can be taken by anyone along with any medication currently been taken. They have no risk of addiction or overdosing.
Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy that connects with the inner rhythms of the fluids that surround your nervous system running from the coccyx (tailbone) to the brain. Through the awareness of these rhythms, the inherent self healing that we all intuitively hold is activated, creating balance in the fluids, tissues and bones of the whole human body/system. When these are balanced, emotional balance is also activated.
In a session, the Client is fully clothed and usually lies on the massage table while hands are lightly placed in different areas on the body from the feet to the head.
Acupuncture is one of the five modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine along with herbal medicine, massage or TuiNa, QiGong exercises and dietary practices. An acupuncture session is one hour long, the first session 1.5 hour, starting with intake, palpation of the body and the pulse, and observation of the tongue, followed by insertion of the acupuncture needles in specific points in the body. The needles are sterile, one times use, and they are much thinner than other types of needles.
The needles typically remain in the body for 20 – 40 minutes during which the person usually goes into a deep meditative and healing state or sometimes falls asleep. The effect of the acupuncture can be felt immediately and up to 72 hours after the session. It is recommended to receive acupuncture treatments once a week for the first months until a desired states of health is reached. Afterwards one can get ‘tune ups’ as needed. Facial Acupuncture is a natural alternative or addition to f ace fillers for those who are trying to lessen or avoid the side effects of invasive treatments. A deep relaxing treatment, Facial Acupuncture affects the whole body, mind and spirit, and gives the face an internal glow!
Initially the skin is washed and exfoliated with topical herbs pearl powder. In addition to placement of fine needles in specific acupuncture points or according to the person’s skin, Jade stone is used to clear heat and toxins from the face and neck and increase circulation and lymphatic flow in fine skin lines. Finally Cranial Myofacial Release is applied as a gentle massage of head and neck.
